Compass Cup- Cow Racing (Fleurieu Peninsula) -
Looking for a fun, exciting and unique way to spend Australia Day 2008? Why not join the Mount Compass farming community and be part of Australia's only cow race! Get into the spirit of Australia Day, it's sure to be a fun day at the 35th annual Compass Cup! Cows with names such as 'Dung Fling', 'Pull the udder one' and 'Splatter' will be auctioned off on the day to be ridden in the race. It's a great day of entertainment for the whole family with food stalls, sideshows and crowd participation events for young and old. Later on an after race concert will get the crowd pumping into the night. Gates open at midday and the day officially starts at 1pm, so bring your family and friends and don't miss out on any of the action. Proceeds from the day go to charities. Come along for a fun day in the sun at an event that can't be found anywhere else in Australia!
