The National Motor Museum is located in picturesque Birdwood, South
Australia and is home to Australia’s largest and most important
collection of motor vehicles, considered to be one of the best of its
kind in the world.
Changing exhibitions showcasing Australia’s motoring and social
history, special trials for children and educational programs are a
part of what the National Motor Museum presents. There’s a souvenir
shop, café, disabled access, function and meeting facilities, as well
as glorious lawn picnic areas and the historic old mill buildings.
The National Motor Museum is a museum of the History Trust of South
Australia and is only one hour’s drive from Adelaide City via the South
Eastern Freeway (M1) or North East Road (A10). There is ample
off-street parking for cars and buses. Pubic transport from the
Adelaide CBD or Tea Tree Plaza is available.
